A woman lost her wedding ring
In the pie factory where she worked
Metal detectors and beady eyes
Tried to find it where it lurked
But no such ring was ever found
So the machines sprang back to life
But six days later in a far-off town
A husband called to his wife.
After slowly unwrapping the succulent pie
He was quickly surprised by the contents
It’s the ring! It’s the ring! I hear you sing
No. Just beef and the normal compliments.

Wedding Poems
My destiny was to be with you,
It was written in the stars,
A certainty,
It had to be,
I read the tarot cards.
My lucky charm,
My four-leafed clover,
Was surely meant to win you over,
Fate itself, leant a helping hand,
And lady luck leapt in,
And now at last my darling,
I wear your wedding ring.

Wedding Poems
A very frothy, cup of coffee,
My sweetheart’s kiss, which is sheer bliss,
Some time for me, plus a pot of tea,
Reflexology for the feet, now that’s a treat,
His hand in mine, which is divine,
Being together, whatever the weather,
A trip to town, to buy a new gown,
That welcomed smile, when I’ve walked a mile,
One friendship rare, that we both can share,
My wedding ring, this makes my heart sing,
A chocolate bar, when I feel under par,
A new found pet, that I have just met,
The grandchild’s grin, when I come in,
My daughter’s pride, when I’m by her side,
My husband’s face, which I could never replace.

Wedding Poems
Serenity for it is pure
For a love can be so sure
Ever so close feel the heartbeat
The line where two lovers meet
Somewhere in the paradox place
The feeling of it’s embrace
There’s always something you miss
Taking more than one passionate kiss
Serenity for it’s true wonderful love
The wedding bells toll, there goes the dove
For then it is love ever so sweet
Not controlled within the heartbeat
For here I shall stand waiting for you
Tell me my love, will you wait for me too?
Slow as it goes, with fine pace
See there serenity’s sweet embrace

Wedding Poems
Ovwa,
The African bride
With ebony skin
And lustrous hair
Nature´s own handwork
A beauty to behold
Bangles round her wrist
Coral beads for garlands
Earrings matching
Wrapped in velvet cloth
From her waist
Down the legs
White sequin blouse
Of choice lace or organza
Towering headgears
An aesthetic sight
Shoes of pure leather
Attire complete
Like a gazelle
She steps out
In graceful strides
Flanked by her maids
Here comes the princess
Of the wedding day.
